Alice Duport-Percier grew up in a musically rich environment and expressed her desire to sing very early on. She began choral singing at the Conservatoire de Saint-Priest (France), then joined the Maîtrise de l’Opéra de Lyon. She studied with Claire Marbot and specialised in Early Music repertoires at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon with teachers such as Bruno Boterf, Anne Delafosse, Anne-Catherine Vinay, Monique Zanetti, and Robert Expert. At the same time, Alice graduated from the Centre de Formation des Enseignants de la Musique with a Diplôme d’État in the teaching of singing in 2016. She then proceeds to be semi-finalist at the Corneille competition in September 2017, and at the Froville competition in September 2019.
Alice founded her Early Music ensembles – Les Kapsbergirls, Libera me, and Tenta la Fuga – with colleagues she met during her studies, and with whom she gave numerous concerts and recorded several award-winning discs (Diapason d’Or in March 2020 and ffff from Télérama for Che fai tù, 5 stars Classica for Vous avez dit Brunettes ? in 2021). She also created a musical show for piano and voice with the pianist Rayan Ramful. She was the Grissini Project’s singer until 2013 and 2021.
.Alice made her opera debut at the Händelfestspiele in Karlsruhe in February 2019 playing Oberto in Handel’s Alcina under Andreas Spering. She was praised by critics for her “crystalline voice” and her vocal skills, as well as her acting in the role of a young boy. She then performed as Amour in Glück’s Orphée et Eurydice at the Opernhaus Zürich conducted by Stefano Montanari in May 2023. Her vocal qualities were once again lauded by critics “Lastly, each of Alice Duport-Percier’s interventions as Amour is a satisfyingly recurring display of mastery, projection, diction, and clarity”
Alice is also very fond of exploring musical creation and crossing-over with other arts: she is currently working with Chrikiz, a hip-hop dance company, on a live show where she interacts on stage with two dancers and an oudist. Moreover, she is co-composing the music destined to a videogame developed by Sandfall Interactive and to which she will lend her voice (released planned for 2024). She is also taking part in the Manga Symphonic Odyssey produced by uGo & Play and the Yellow Socks Orchestra. Alice usually works with the Curieux Orchestra directed by Daniel Sicard.
