Whilst not wanting to glamourise the feast of All Hallow’s Eve in the wrong way, I came across the amazing Broken Peach through their version of Halloween from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas’. Not only is it a very catchy song but they put their whole selves into creating the music video.
On their website they describe themselves as a rock and soul band. “It could be said that we are a band, it could be said that we are a choir, or it could be said that we are a show for children and adults … and the truth, it could be said that we are a bit of everything. We created a new way of merging music with the show trying to separate ourselves from the typical cover bands, giving a personal touch to each of the songs we interpret. Our formation is 4 voices, drums, bass, guitar / piano.”
They adopt different persona and appropriate costumes depending on the song that they cover. In their words ” One of our best assets is having an aesthetic as elegant as it is extravagant that places the viewer in different times and environments. Here is theri version of Abba’s Mamma Mia.
We merge music and entertainment, a new option that stands out from the typical cover bands and orchestras, providing a personal touch to each of the songs we perform. From the marriage between the female voices and the claw of our musicians, a concert suitable for all audiences and wide in terms of stylistic range arises.
They took part in Spain’s Got Talent in 2016 without much success but I think they bring an innovative approach to covering songs. I shall leave you with their version of ‘Pink Elelphant’s On Parade’ from Disney’s Dumbo, which brings a whole new feeling to the song.
