Bardy Pardy

Bardy Pardy brings together the musical styles of Hannah Ward, Stephanie M. Krause, and Chelsea Carlson.  Born on the streets of the New Jersey Renaissance Faire, Bardy Pardy has quickly risen to popularity among fairegoers and fellow performers alike, and delighted audiences with their brand of lower-class shenanigans since 2017.

Stephanie is a co-founding member of Bardy Pardy, and loves to perform as her Bardy Pardy exclusive character, pub mistress Molly O’Flaherty!  Local to the Philadelphia area since 2002, Stephanie’s background is in theatre and music, including featured regional theatre roles as Nancy in “Oliver!,” Columbia in “The Rocky Horror Show,” Babette in “Beauty and the Beast,” and Erzulie in “Once On This Island,” among others.  Stephanie has been a cast member at the New Jersey Renaissance Faire since 2015 and can also be found “sailing the seas” and causing trouble up and down the East Coast with her pirate entertainment crew, Pirates of Fortune’s Folly.

Chelsea is excited to reprise her original character, bard and storyteller Ella Grimsley, with Bardy Pardy.  Chelsea is an award-winning musician and songwriter, and has performed at numerous venues throughout the tri-state area including the Hard Rock Cafe, Bitter End, and Stone Pony.  In 2013, she was awarded Top New Female Act at the Jersey Acoustic Music Awards, and her debut album “The Broken Road” premiered in Songwriting Magazine in 2016.  Chelsea’s past acting credits include Linda in “The Wedding Singer,” Miss Carter in “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and roles in student short films.  She has been on the cast of the New Jersey Renaissance Faire since 2016 and served as the faire’s music director in 2022.  She’s happy she has found a place where she can both perform and let her nerd flag fly!

Hannah started her journey as Tallulah in 2017 at the New Jersey Renaissance Faire and hasn’t looked back since! Hannah has been attending and enjoying Renaissance faires since she was young, and has been lucky enough to perform as part of the volunteer cast of NJRF in 2017 and 2018 and on the Bacchanalian cast of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire for their 2018 season. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, aerial acrobatics, and clowning’ around.

With a mixture of traditional folk music, comedy, and stories told through song – all wrapped up in beautiful three part harmony – Bardy Pardy is sure to bring a smile to your face and be a memorable part of your faire day.
