The Lion’s Roar” is the title track of the album The Lion’s Roar by the Swedish folk band First Aid Kit. Written by Klara Söderberg and Johanna Söderberg, the song was released as the first single from the album and entered the Swedish Singles Chart at No.38, and then rose to No.#34 the following week. The two sisters explained the title of the set to The Sun: “A lion roaring is essentially an emotion being expressed. We wanted to express our emotions more ‘loudly’ and more clearly with this record. This is reflected in the lyrics as well as in the arrangements.”

Waking Lions” is a song by American band Pop Evil. It was their lead single off of their album Pop Evil. It topped the US Billboard Rock Songs chart in March 2018. Lyrically, the band mean to convey a message of positivity with the song. The song was intended to be a source of empowerment to those struggling with life issues, and its music video specifically meant to be a source of femal empowerment, in support of the reports of sexism in Hollywood that eventually spurred the MeToo movement. Loudwire described the song’s as one of the band’s heaviest singles, describing its sound as being “hard rock that interpolates a little bit of metalcore crunch into the riffing, giving their music a harder edge of texture.”

Three Lions” is a song by the English comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner and the rock band the Lightning Seeds. It was released in May 1996 to mark the England football team’s participation in that year’s UEFA European Championship, which England was hosting. The music was written by the Lightning Seeds singer Ian Broudie, while Baddiel and Skinner — presenters of the football comedy show Fantasy Football League – provided the lyrics. All three provided vocals. The title comes from the England team emblem. Both the original version of “Three Lions” and the updated “Three Lions ’98” reached number one on the Uk Singles Chart, becoming one of only three songs to top the British charts more than once with lyric variants. The song has been described as the de facto “anthem” of English football since 1996. Its chorus, with the refrain “It’s coming home”, has become a popular chant for fans at England games.

Lionsong” is the second song by Icelandic singer and musician Bjork from her eighth studio album, Vulnicura. It was written and composed by Björk and features beats by Venezuelan musician Arca, who co-produced the track with her. “Lionsong” was released as a promotional single to radio stations in some territories, including the US, by One Little Indian Records in late 2015 and received limited airplay in a shortened radio version. Vulnicura saw no official commercial singles, digital or physical, the first for a Björk studio album, though several versions of “Lionsong” exist due to the various supplementary projects that accompanied the original Vulnicura album.

“The Lion and the Lamb” is a single from the contemporary Christian music group Big Daddy Weave. It peaked at No. 2 on Christian Airplay and No. 2 on Billboard Hot Christian Songs. The Lion and the Lamb is Big Daddy Weave’s 15th top 10 song. The song was written by Leeland Mooring, Brenton Brown and Brian Johnson and was initially released by Bethel Music and Leeland as a part of its successful release, Have It All.
