We first met Chris and Caitlin in 2015 when they supported the Hall Brothers at the Workshop Theatre, Halifax ( a lovely little venue). At that time they were part of a group called Bric-a-Brac along with Bella Gaffney and Hether Sirrel. When Bric-a-Brac disbanded (largely due to the distances involved in meeting) Chris and Caitlin chose to continue as a duo, and after a quiet period whilst new material was being developed they emerged with a new sound and a new album, ‘Carry Me Home’. They both hail from Staffordshire and their music strongly reflects their love of their birthplace. We have since seen them perform twice once in Staffordshire whilst on holiday (much to their surprise) and once at the Topic Folk Club in Bradford, and they were a delight on both occasions.. The album is excellent and well worth a listen, but they are at their best live in concert. So here is another of their songs – indeed it is the title track of their album.
