Forward

Having explored left, right, up and down we are now going to explore the alternative commands forwards and back. i suspect that there will certainly be more songs associated with back than with fowards but who knows what we might discover.

Fast Forward” the title track from the 1985 dance film directed by Sidney Poitier. In the film, a dance troupe from Ohio comes to New York to compete in a national talent competition. The 1987 Bollywood film Dance Dance and the 2003 Tamil film Boys were influenced by this film.

“Waiting for the Great Leap Forwards” is a 1988 song by English singer/songwriter Billy Bragg. The song was released as an advance single from the album Woker’s Playtime in August 1988. Bragg was accompanied on the original recording by Martin Belmont, Bruce Thomas, Carla Tivey, Mickey Waller and Bragg’s long-standing roadie Wiggy, with backing vocals by Michelle Shocked and Phill Jupitus among others. The single reached number 52 in the UK in September 1988.

Looking Forward is the title track from the third studio album by Crosby,Stills, Nash and Young and their fifth, overall. It is the fourteenth album when conflated with releases by the trio of Crosby, Stills & Nash. It was released on Reprise in 1999 and peaked at number 26 on the Billboard, with total sales nearing 400,000. It is Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s last studio album to date. Neil Young brought in Looking Forward as one of three recordings he had earmarked for one of his own albums.

Moving Forward” is a track from ‘Every Man for Himself’ the third studio album by American rock band Hoobastank, released in May 2006, by Island. It was the first album not to feature bassist Markku Lappalainen after his departure in 2005; Bassists Chris Chaney and Paul Bushnell took his place for the album.

“Forward to Love” is a track from ‘Wild and Free’ the fourth solo studio album of Jamaican singer Ziggy Marley. The album was released in June 2011. In an interview with Billboard, Marley stated that the first single will be “Forward to Love” inspired by his wife Orly Marley. Marley concluded by saying, “I don’t think I’m going to get enough time this year to really explore this album live,” Marley notes, “so I’m looking for next year for it to be really about this album,

Forward” is a song recorded by American singer Beyonce for her sixth studio album, Lemonade (2016). It was written by James Blake and Beyoncé, who is also featured in the song. The song’s music video is part of a one-hour film with the same title as its parent album, originally aired on HBO. Upon release of the album, “Forward” charted in the United States, United Kingdom and Scotland. The song was Beyoncé’s 54th entry on the Billboard, peaking at 63.
