The Stickmen Project was formed in August 2016. The identities and real names of the two members are unknown. They perform in black LED suits and masks. During live performances, both play electronic drums and a turntable. The duo became particularly popular on the video platform TikTok , where they released music videos and became the second-biggest electronic music artist after Marshmello . They have reached more than 5.5 million followers. The Stickmen Project also participated in the exclusive ‘TikTok x Spinnin’ Records’ lockdown livestream.
The Stickmen always bring the party. They enhance their DJ sets by playing the iconic sections of the songs live using a high definition video drum kit as an active sample pad. The Stickmen have also had tracks featured on BBC Radio 1, Radio 1XTRA, Capital & Kiss FM to name a few also receiving key support from some of the most prolific and respected touring DJs around the world including Tiesto, Diplo & Flosstradamus , all playing their tracks, bootlegs and remixes in their DJ sets and radio shows.
As producers, The Stickmen have calved out a well respected reputation and have recently released an officially commissioned remix of Meduza – Piece Of Your Heart (signed to Polydor UK – UMG), reaching no.1 in both The Capital Big Top 40 and the Official Charts Company dance chart, achieving platinum sales for the UK in the process.
In 2021, they released the track “No Fun” with Armin van Buuren . Armin van Buuren said: “I loved the cover version The Stickmen Project did of my track ‘Ping Pong’. It sparked a flame of creativity within me, and I soon found myself in the studio with them to create this record. I hope everyone will be having a good time whenever ‘No Fun’ blasts from the speakers.”
“Rain in Ibiza” is a song by German DJ Felix Jaehn & The Stickmen Project featuring British singer Calum Scott. It was released on 25 February 2022. Upon release Felix Jaehn said “I’m glad to have gotten to collaborate with talents like The Stickmen Project and to be reunited on this record with Calum Scott. It’s a really light hearted song about meeting someone new and the excitement that comes with that, and I feel like it’s exactly the right energy to kick off the year.”
