“Wild Horses” is a song written by the British rock band the Rolling Stones. It was first released in 1970 by The Flying Burrito Brothers as the Stones didn’t think the demo was worth recording fully. It was subsequently recorded by the Stones for their 1971 album Sticky Fingers when they felt it was worth reconsideration. It was also released in June 1971 as a single, with “Sway” as its B-side. Rolling Stone ranked the song number 334 in its “500 Greatest Songs of All Time” list in 2004 and number 193 in its 2021 update.
“White Horses” is a track with which Paul Weller closes his True Meanings album. This folk song, which features lyrics by Erland Cooper of British progressive rock band Erland & the Carnival. Weller told Uncut magazine: “Although Erland Cooper wrote the words, it struck a chord about the cycle of life; what you’ve inherited from your parents and pass on to your kids. That could have been me writing about myself. But it wasn’t. It was someone else doing it, which I thought was really interesting.”

“Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses” is a song by Irish band U2. It is the fifth track on their 1991 album Achtung Baby, and was released as its fifth and final single in November 1992. When the covers to “Even Better Thanthe Real Thing,” “The Fly,” “Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses,” and “Mysterious Ways” are arranged, a picture of the band members driving a Trabant is formed. The single includes Bono’s solo version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” which was recorded in STS studios in Dublin on 29 June 1992 for the movie Honeymoon in Vegas. The song was released in the United Kingdom in late November 1992.
