Unique are a Hungarian , a three-member electronic pop band band. The band was founded in the autumn of 1995 by Adam Kovacsics and Zsolt Ferbar. They’ve both been helping out on other teams, but they increasingly wanted a band of their own. Gabi Volgyesi joined them in early 1997 to provide vocals.
Two years later, the first record deal with Magneoton-Warner was signed. Work on their first album began in the Aquarium studios in October 2000 , and the first clip from the song, Infinite dream , was released, which premiered on VIVA TV, then still known as Z +. In January, the clip song went to maxi stores, and in February, the band had its first TV appearance. The record work was completed as early as this month, and after the cover photo in March, the album, The Roadless Roads, was released in April .
The Viasat in May revealed at a press conference that the title track of the reality show called What’s In Your Name? was to be the title of their second single. It was released in July 2001 in July and the video in August. In February 2002 they released Starfish, which became one of the biggest hits of the year. The number immediately hit the top of the radio charts, and in the same year VIVA TV nominated the groupfor a Comet Award the first time .
In November 2002 with VIVA + Ize with Balazs, they debuted one of the band’s most successful compositions, Angel.
The second album , Mosaic, was released in December 2003 . The single of the same name was released to television and radio in the summer of 2004 and became their biggest selling single. In November 2004, the Mozaik Grand Concert was held in the Petofi Hall. They also recevied their 2nd Comet nomination was also pocketed on thanks to the success of their song. In April 2005 the album Azonos was released.
