Flo &and Joan are a British comedy music act consisting of sisters, Rosie and Nicola Dempsey. Their act generally consists of a variety of bizarre comedy songs. They have played the Edinburgh Fringe and appeared on the BBC’s ‘Live at the Apollo’. They grew up in Portsmouth but lived in Toronto for a few years, (hence the Canadian references in Why Why Why Why?) and as of February 2019, now live in London.
In 2018 they were featured in a Nationwide Building Society TV advert. I hope you will forgive the plug!
In one of their newer songs they attempt to make sense of the government’s advice about how to survive the coronavirus pandemic.
Finally they issue a warning to all of us, when we are tempted to go out and celebrate, once all of this unpleasantness is over.
