Holly Kirby hails from the Isle of Wight, and despite the popular myth that the island is still living in the 1950’s, she makes some very contemporary music. Having worked for many years as a solo artist, she has recently teamed up with her band ‘The Great Outdoors’ which has added breadth and depth to her sound.
I first came across Holly when I came across her song ‘My Little Ukulele’ on You Tube. So here it is from 2008, with a very young looking Holly in a myriad of costumes. Make sure you watch to the end for the out-takes.
Sadly being based in the South of England and not having toured in the north yet, I have not had the oportunity to see her live. Hopefully as her standing grows she might venture into Yorkshire
